Qi Men Dun Jia Divination - various element to generate chart
Introduction
In normal case, when a person come for consult, the Qi Men Dun Jia practitioner will generate and plot the Qi Men Dun Jia chart based on the date and time the question was asked. The chart is good for 2 hours. This is based on the Hour Qi Men Dun Jia method of chart plotting. However, assuming that the consult is done within the 2 hours and then another question being asked or another customer came for consult. Shall the practitioner use the same chart to derive?
In here I would like to introduce alternate method of plotting the Qi Men Dun Jia chart.
If the divination is done not too near 22nd Dec or 22nd June, then you can easily derive the Dun. For example, now is May, then it will still be Yang Dun.
Next, you ask your client to choose a number from 1 to 9 after he/she asked the question he/she wanted to know.
For example, this person choose the number 5. So, now you have the season, which is Yang Dun #5. Based on the current hour, you can now construct your Qi Men Dun Jia chart.
For this example, let say the current hour is Ji Si, then your Qi Men Dun Jia chart is Yang Dun #5 Ji Si chart. You can then derive your answer from here.
A. Ba Men: e.g. 1 = Xiu Men, 2 = Sheng Men, 3 = Shang Men, 4 = Du Men, 5 = Jing Men, 6 = Si Men, 7 = Jing4 Men, 8=Kai Men.
B. Jiu Xing: e.g. 1=Tian Xin, 2=Tian Peng, 3=Tian Ren, 4=Tian Chong, 5=Tian Fu, 6=Tian Ying, 7=Tian Rui, 8=Tian Zhu
C. Ba Shen: e.g. 1=Zhi Fu, 2=Teng She, 3=Tai Yin, 4=Liu He, 5=Bai Hu, 6=Xuan Wu, 7=Jiu Di, 8=Jiu Tian.
Next based, on the question asked, you ask your client to choose a number from 1 to 8 for Ba Men, 1 to 8 for Jiu Xing and 1 to 8 for Ba Shen.
Interpretation is then done based on the Ba Men, Jiu Xing and Ba Shen.
Interpretation is then done based on the card being drawn.

Method 0:
Method 0 is the most common method being used to generate Qi Men Dun Jia chart. Basically, it is based on the date and time of the question asked, then use that date and time to reference the Qi Men Dun Jia calendar to find out which chart it is. For example, 18th May 2019 at 14:43, the chart is Yang Dun #1 Gui Wei Chart. Then based on the question asked, the interpretation is done using the Yang Dun #1 Gui Wei Chart.Method 1:
The practitioner need to know the Qi Men Dun Jia Season or Dun. For example, Yang Dun starts from Winter Solstice till Summer Solstice. Yin Dun starts from Summer Solstice to Winter Solstice. Winter solstice starts around 22nd of Dec while Summer Solstice around 22nd June. Please refer to the yearly almanac for the actual date/time the Winter and Summer Solstice starts.If the divination is done not too near 22nd Dec or 22nd June, then you can easily derive the Dun. For example, now is May, then it will still be Yang Dun.
Next, you ask your client to choose a number from 1 to 9 after he/she asked the question he/she wanted to know.

This method is slightly complicated and require some preparation. Before you start, you need to pre-assign numbers to the following:A. Ba Men: e.g. 1 = Xiu Men, 2 = Sheng Men, 3 = Shang Men, 4 = Du Men, 5 = Jing Men, 6 = Si Men, 7 = Jing4 Men, 8=Kai Men.
B. Jiu Xing: e.g. 1=Tian Xin, 2=Tian Peng, 3=Tian Ren, 4=Tian Chong, 5=Tian Fu, 6=Tian Ying, 7=Tian Rui, 8=Tian Zhu
C. Ba Shen: e.g. 1=Zhi Fu, 2=Teng She, 3=Tai Yin, 4=Liu He, 5=Bai Hu, 6=Xuan Wu, 7=Jiu Di, 8=Jiu Tian.
Next based, on the question asked, you ask your client to choose a number from 1 to 8 for Ba Men, 1 to 8 for Jiu Xing and 1 to 8 for Ba Shen.
Interpretation is then done based on the Ba Men, Jiu Xing and Ba Shen.
Method 3:
Method 3 is same as Method 2 except that instead of asking the client to choose a number, put have cards (like Tarot card) for Ba Men, Jiu Xing and Ba Shen.
You ask your client to ask a question and then pull out those cards from each set.
Interpretation is then done based on the card being drawn.

ReplyDeleteI am a qimen practioner for many years. I never use cai bu or zhi run method accept when plotting bazi chart. And surprising its very accurate and more impressive than cai bu method.

DeleteRegarding your above question.I am using a method what some practitioner call it 机灵法. In this method you plot chart using any number or any info you can see, or can think of at the time you want to divine something. In another word u plot a random chart not restricting yourself with current date or timing.. Chaibu method is can be very inflexible and in some cases unable to provide you with the correct info you want. I tried chaibu for awhile but decided to give up.

Deleteregarding method 2 and 3, you r still ploting chart using date and timing.. it is when they ask then pick the number. And predict according to the 用神 assign by the number right? If yes then different from wat i say obviously.
ReplyDeleteNope, not based on date and time. Basically for method 2, it is purely random. I use number for easy reference.
DeleteMethod 3 is using customised Qi Men Dun Jia card. The person draw the card randomly and interpret based on the question asked. I used it all the time when I am lazy to plot chart.
Any past example for your method 2 and 3?
ReplyDeleteMethod 2 is as per what I wrote on the article. You randomly assign number to all the Qi Men Dun Jia elements.
DeleteMethod 3 is similar to tarot card but with Qi Men Dun Jia elements. The asker draw the cards from various stack and you interpret based on the question asked.
Regarding the method 3, i assume theres no relationship between palace since you give answer by just analysing the 3 type of elements right?
