The art of divination & destiny analysis - What to expect?

Introduction

A lot of people asked me on how accurate are divination and destiny reading. Also, some asked why destiny reading is so accurate in reading past events but not accurate in predicting the future. Another question I received is can we change our destiny?

Chinese has one saying: 人可信命但不可任命. It means, human can believe in destiny but can’t leave it to destiny. Believing in destiny means to embrace what you have and work around it’s advantages and disadvantages. For example, if you are in bad luck, then stay low, do your preparation and wait for good luck. When you are in good luck, then you go all out. If you leave it to destiny, then you are basically doing nothing. 

There was a story of a middle-income person that went for destiny analysis. He was told that he will be millionaire in 5 years time. During the 5-years, he basically stays at home and waits for the time to come. He did nothing and became so sick and passed away. When he reached the other world, the chief investigator asked why he was here when his time was not up. According to his record, he was supposed to be rich so he asked the god of wealth why he didn’t deliver the money to him. The gods of wealth replied that he was there and knock on the door but nobody answered. The person was so sick that he can’t even open the door.  So, the moral of the story is that when your time is up to be rich, you need to be physically capable to accept the wealth.

What is divination?

Dictionary.com defined divination as:

1. The practice of attempting to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge by occult or supernatural means.
2. Augury; prophecy: The divination of the high priest was fulfilled.
3. Perception by intuition; instinctive foresight.

It is defined as “occult” or “supernatural” as it cannot be explained scientifically.

In Chinese Meta-Physics, divination provides a “peep” into future events. However, the actual outcome depends on many factors. Here are some of the possible scenarios:

1. The person asking, after knowing the result, did nothing about it.
2. The person asking, after knowing the result, reacts negatively about it.
3. The person asking, after knowing the result, decided to do something about it.

For example, a person come to ask about his marriage situation and the foretell outcome is that the person will divorce in 2 months time. If he does nothing about it, then the outcome will come true in next 2 months. However, if he decided to salvage the relationship and does all he can to win back his wife, then the situation might change. (e.g. He can brings his wife for vacation for 2 months):

So, does it mean that the divination system is not accurate? Not really. It depends on many factors:

1. How a question being asked and the background surrounding the question being asked (I will explain this later)
2. How the person react to the foretell results (as describe above)
3. Any unknown circumstances that might affect the outcome

Why asking the correct question is important?

 A friend of mine went for parent volunteer interview and asked me whether the interview will be successful. So, I plot the chart and use the generic Day Stem to represent him. In the palace there Si Men and it is in restricting situation with Tian Fu, which represents the interviewer. Therefore, I told him that his interview is unsuccessful. After a few days, he informed me that he was selected. I was puzzled at first but then later he told me that the interview was a group interview where all parents were being interviewed at the same time. As such, using the generic Day Stem to represent him was not correct as in this situation (group interview), Day Stem represents all the parents.  So, when I use his birth year to represent him, then I can see the “correct” outcome from the plotted chart.

Lesson learnt; always find out the background and nature of the question asked before foretelling the outcome.

What are the unknown circumstances?

We only know what we know and we don’t know what we don’t know. Since it is unknown then there is no way we can find out. We can only react based on the information available. Like the example above, when the person take action, the outcome will be different from what’s being foretell. Does this means that divination cannot be used anymore? The answer is No. We can always do another divination every time there is change in the circumstances (e.g. the person take action or new discovery)

Isn’t the above situation similar to what’s going on with missing plane? Things will be changing rapidly.

Here is an example of how you can make use of the divination results to your advantage. This divination was done by one of my student. Her father complaint about seeing double on his left eyes. She brought her father to see an eyes specialist, done some MRI but could not find anything wrong. So, she did a divination. Here is the chart:

From the chart, Tian Rui, sickness star is at Dui 7 Palace and with this, there is no indicator that there is anything wrong with his eyes. In addition, it is in Kong. So, the sickness cannot be detected.

One thing to note, Hour Heavenly Stem is Gui at Xun 4 Palace with Du Men and Teng She. Therefore, matter asked will be stuck. So, asking about health matter, it will be stuck. So, she is in dilemma.  In addition, representing doctor is Tian Xin at Kan 1 Palace with Xiu Men and Jiu Di. Xiu Men means the doctor is relaxed. Jiu Di also means low or sub-standard. So, the doctor did not check properly. 

I advised her to find another doctor for 2^nd opinion on Bing, Ren or You day when the Tian Rui is filled up. On 15^th April 2014, which is a Bing Chen day, she brought her father to see another doctor. Within 10 mins, the doctor diagnosed her father as border line diabetic and further blood test confirmed that. Later, she told me that her father actually went to see another doctor and this doctor asked him to go for droopy eye lid surgery.

So, instead of listening to the 2^nd doctor and go for eye lid surgery, she decided to follow the chart and seek another doctor opinion based on the information obtained from divination.  They benefited from the divination system but reacting and using the information obtained from it. Does it mean that the divination is not correct as the chart showed that the sickness cannot be detected but it was confirmed that the problem is due to mild diabetic?

Destiny Reading

In the olden days, a person life are graded as 富 (Fù)  - Rich, 貴 (Guì) – Noble, 貧 (Pín)  - Poor or 賤  (Jiàn) – Despicable. In ancient Chinese time, a Noble (貴) person might not be a Rich (富) person. Some wanted to remain poor and noble. However, the current modern society, most of the Noble people are Rich and most of the Rich people can “buy” nobility. So, I put Rich and Noble as the same level:

 

The Poor are the people who need to work hard to earn a living. Of course, their only desire is to move up the chain to become Rich and/or  Noble. 

The Despicable are the slumdog, beggar, prostitutes, pimps and etc. They will do things that is not norm or socially not acceptable by the society for a living. 

So, does it mean that someone that is born with a Despicable life (as according to Destiny Analysis) will not be Rich and Noble? The answer is No.

 There was a story about a blind female beggar in Saudi that has begged for 50 years died suddenly and left behind SR 3 Million in cash, jewelry, gold worth SR1 Million and four buildings. (http://www.arabnews.com/news/541011)

Believing or leaving to Destiny

 Confucius said: 不知命，无以为君子也 (bù zhī mìng  wú yǐ wéi jūn zǐ yě). People who don’t understand Destiny, they are not gentlemen.  Basically Confucius said that every human being needs to understand and act according to one’s destiny. If not, how to become a gentleman?  

Destiny – Luck cycle  

Everybody will know that there will be certain time when there are ups and downs. This is called luck cycle and these will fluctuate throughout a person life. In actual fact, a luck cycle is not a thin line like the diagram above:

In reality, it is actually very thick. This will form a boundary of your luck within a given time. So, the key idea is to maximize your luck; regardless of whether it is down or up. You push it to the max to achieve optimum results as shown in the diagram below:

 

 

If you do nothing, then your luck will be mediocre, if you enhance it, then you push it to the maximum to get the maximum return. This is regardless of whether you are in good luck or poor luck. Of course, when you are in poor luck, your returns will be less but it is better than no returns!

How to maximize your luck

The ancient sage already provided the formula to maximize your luck. There are:

一命, 二运, 三风水, 四积德, 五读书, 六名, 七相, 八敬神, 九交贵人, 十养生.

1. Destiny
2. Luck
3. Fengshui
4. Do good deed (karma)
5. Study
6. Good name
7. Change your look/attitudes
8. Ask for blessing (Spiritual)
9. Obtain help from networking (nobleman)
10. Self-cultivating

  

Destiny and luck already being covered above. For Fengshui, it will be a wide topic but using Qi Men Dun Jia as a method, we can use Qi Men Dun Jia Divination to take a sneak peep and then using your own action to act accordingly. So, in Chinese Meta-Physics point of view, apart from having name that is socially acceptable, the name has to support the person’s destiny. For example, if Fire element is beneficial to a person based on destiny analysis, then the name should have fire element.

“Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude” - Zig Ziglar. Therefore, having good attitude is important. Buddha saying: 有心无相，相由心生；有相无心，相由心灭.It means: when you have the heart but not the look, the heart will change the appearance to be better. When you have the look but not the heart, then your appearance will change to the worst. That’s why your thinking and attitude will change your appearance and look. This will change people’s perception on you.

Asking for blessing is basically spiritual cultivation.

The 9^th is networking where through networking, you are able to obtain help from people, also known as your noble person.

Last but not least, self-cultivating is to way to improve your wellbeing. This can be done by embarking in spiritual cultivation like meditation, chanting or embark in healthy life-style like Qigong practice. Healthy mind will have healthy body.

So, now you know why the same person born on the same date, time and location do not have the same destiny. This is because only the first two items (destiny and luck) are the same. The rest are different. Even twins that stay in the same house with the same parents have different karma, name, attitude and will meet different people as well. So many people born on the date and time as Bill Gates but there is only one billionaire Bill Gates.

Why Destiny Reading is accurate when reading the past?

People asked me this all the times. This is because you don’t have the baggage of knowing the future prior to the destiny reading. However, after a destiny reading, your subconscious mind will kicks in and without you knowing, you mind will react to the information provided during the destiny reading. In addition, you might decide to act on it instead of leaving it to destiny.   

There is this book written by Yuan Liao-Fan in the 16^th Century with the title: Liao-Fan’s four lessons. This book was intended to teach his son how to recognize the true face of destiny, tell good from bad, correct one’s faults and practice kind deeds. It also provided living proof of the rewards and outcomes of people who practiced kind deeds and cultivated virtue and humility. Basically the books told his’ own experience at changing destiny. This book is translated into English and you can search it from the Internet.
